so I pulled the PTO shaft, lots of mustard comes out, all good. i got the shaft out of the bearing housing, got the bearing out, got the seal out, got the new seal in all good, I even got the shaft in right, (I think) so now its time to put the new oil in, no I didnt flush it with anything, I drained it from two plugs underneath. so i added almost all of 5 gallons back into it. only place I see to fil it is right next to the gear shift. its way full in there and not a drop on the dipstick on the side.

Did I screw up?

OK the oil is on the dipstick now whew, that I was gonna have to pump it out, I read there are 3 locations to drain, but in the threads those places are not mentioned as to location, I removed the large plug at midpoint and the small one right behind the cotterpin

There is a baffle between the gearbox and the differential with only small holes to let the oil through , this is why it took some time . The baffle is to stop all the oil sloshing to front or back when working on a slope . Overfilling it will cause leaks at the wheel bearing seals .
I take a side cover off and fill through there , this way you can pour lots in at once . To make sure you don't overfill remove the lowest bolt on the dipstick side cover . When it leaks out of that its full .
