what should the engine serial numbers be and where are they located for a 58 or 59 model ?

My 85D has the engine tag on the left block side. Gas engines had it on the left also. Have never seen a year # range list for the Continentals.

I found a site that says the serial number is on the right lower side of battery box or on the dash. The following is what it is showing for the years. Only 47 made in 1958.
1958: 800001
1959: 800048
1960: 804355
1961: 807750
1962: 808564

I'm not familiar with Massey and I think the engine is a more modern engine is their anyway I would recognize that ?

Could be someone replaced the original engine with a Perkins A4.300 or A4.318 like the Super 90, or 285-1085 models used. 85 Continental engines had the exhaust manifold on the right side, Perkins engines that would fit are on the left.
