No fire from coil on Ferguson T30

Ferguson T30. I converted to a 12 volt system and electronic ignition, which changed from positive ground to negative ground. After five years of good performance, I installed a new battery and stupidly hooked it up with positive ground. Now I have no fire. The coli tested okay but no fire leaving it. I don't know how to see if fire is reaching it. HELP!

Hate to be bearer of bad news, but the electronic conversion is probably fried.

Did you check for power on the ignition side (the + terminal) of the coil? If there is power there with the ignition on, and the electronic conversion is properly connected, and the distributor is turning, and still no spark, then the e.c. is dead.

Also check the alternator, it may be damaged or the wire to the alternator may have been burned, depending on how long it was left connected backward.

It was the amp meter. It's running now.
