To20 sleeve instillation / use permatex on "o" rings or leave dry ?

The IT manual for a Z134 engine (same basic engine, later model) says to use palm oil(?) or vaseline.

There is also a height spec of .002-.0045 for the top of the sleeve above the block deck.

It offers no solution other than clean the seat in the block thoroughly.

All the old timers used Vaseline.

Guess I was old when I did mine. That and a few years experience replacing O-rings on hydraulic components for rotary wing aircraft.
