flyweel gear

I've always just used a torch, rosebud tip if available.

Just lay the gear on top of the flywheel, run the torch round and round, taping it down with a hammer until it goes on. It doesn't need to be all that hot, no discoloring, keep the torch moving.

About 500 degrees for at least 15 minutes. 30 could be better. Now if you do this in the wife's oven, set that sucker to max
temp and give it 30 minutes. Drag it out with pliers, drop in on the flywheel sitting on plywood, on the kitchen floor. Two
hammers and tap that into position as fast as possible. Yes, the wife will need to help you.
