They just sit in the block, head holds them down.

There is an oring at the bottom, the block will need to be thoroughly cleaned before putting them back in.
 
I built this setup years ago, I think with some info on this site. Simple to make. A piece of angle steel and a threaded rod 1/2". Use a couple of
2 x4 pieces to support on the head and will easily pull the sleeve up. Just about an inch frees the O rings.

I had a puck made for 3 3/16 inch and 3 5/16 on one side, flipped it and has 3 1/4 on the other side..
 
Pay attention to the oil holes in the rods as to what they are pointing at. That oil pick up tube has rubber seals at either end
that can be replaced from your local hydraulic supply shop. Pack the oil pump with Vaseline prior to starting the engine.
The oil tube at the bottom has to be screwed all the way into the block or the oil pan cover will not seal properly. That's

I made a preluber air pump oil threw the oil temp hole when did rod bearings on other tractor / will not hart to pack oil any way
