Control Valve Trouble ?

I bought a TEA 20 and everything seemed to check out. It lifted and held me standing on the lift arms as it should. We trailered it home and the first time I raised the 3 point lift after unloading it from the trailer it acted like it wanted to rotate the upper lift arms in a full circle. Now the arms go up no matter where the control lever is set. They take over a week to drop with nothing on them.

I removed the right inspection plate and can lower the arms if I reach in and shove the control arm rearward. The oil is kind of ugly brown looking. Did I dislodge some nastiness going up and down the ramps on the trailer? I know I stirred up everything in the bottom of the gas tank. How should this problem be approached? I am open to any suggestions. Hopefully something simple as Mrs. has noted that it ran fine when I dragged her along to buy it.

Control valve is probably sticking , especially since you mention that the oil is really nasty . They bend really easily , you will find it at the rear bottom of the pump . Try draining the oil and pulling the pto shaft out and cleaning first . With new oil it might run properly .
