12 volt conversion bracket noy long enough to 20

Seems like the top bracket the one that supplys tension is not long enough that was supplied in the kit any one have a pic of where they mounted theirs or another part i could make work. The bottom bracket was a bear to get on it came distored and warped. Guess ill only make this mistake once with this kit ot ordering from the supplier. Thanks in advance for aby tips or suggestions
 

Well the alternator i have allllll the way at end of bracket not with in the slide section for adjusment. Just a bolt and nut acting like a stopper.
 
Common problem with aftermarket parts...

They only fit as well as the mfg. cares to make them fit, and sometimes that is not very well!

The top bracket is pretty simple, just do what you have to do to make it work. Being that it is too short, you can cut it in the middle, weld in a short piece to extend it. Or cut the end off the new one, cut the other end off the original one, weld them together to get the correct length.

If you don't have access to a welder or metal working tools, you can make a cardboard pattern, take your brackets to a fab shop and have one welded up.

How well did the belt line up? That is critical. The belt must be properly aligned with the other pulleys, and the alternator needs to sit straight, with no angular misalignment. If it's not straight, the lower mount will also need to be modified.

The belt lined up great anf yup i have plasma cutter welders all that jus didnt think i would have to manufacture my own bracket. Kinda why i bought the kit. Its ashame hese companys pedal manure
 
I'm sure there are individuals on YT who have purchased ALT. Conversion kits whom are totally satisfied with the supplied brackets. However,I have never meet any of these individuals.

Here is an example of lengthening the tightening bracket.

Alternator was place HIGH on the side of the Engine as the front axel PIVOTS and was contacting AlT:
