Are you talking about where the disk is set? It should have a rope attached to the flat piece(close to top in middle where block are setting) for setting adjustment. You back up pull rope to set disk to transport or to set angle you want to plow. The adjustment has notches to hold your angle you want to plow. You can count the notches then set each time.Pull rope and back tractor will set disk straight to transport. Pull rope and pull tractor forward to set angle you want.

Steve once you got the screw where you wanted it I think a good spot of paint on the threads would mark it so you could come right back to it. Yes you may have to mark it again when you use it "if" you change the setting.

If you're good at math... I would use a tape measure. then write it down someplace- like a paint pencil on the plow frame, or the share, mouldboard, where it will wear off next spring.
Different tractor, new tires, ya start at the beginning once again...

like Tony said, tape measure and write in down. I have mine written down on the inside of the tractor's tool box lid. With the old N ford toplink was 25 1/2". After you make the first couple of passes you can tweek it to your likeness. Tried the little dab of paint, it wore off. You can always run it back up on the block to get it where you need it, Kind of a pain, easier to write it down.
