Ahoy! She be the jib off the mizzle mast a the Bounty mate! Ye ave a very historic boom thar me hardy! Or, aye.... a later MF probably still a catagory one hitch.... or half hitch!!! {how do pirates laugh??}Either way, she's better than the cobbled up tilted one you got now- perhaps?? maybe not eh?? 'ow many pounds and shillings will the scurvy dogs ask for it????? blaggards!!
Did I ever tell you??? .... in a past life... I was the boyfriend of the Sheila who was the babysitter for the property master when Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins were filming 'the Bounty' in New Zealand?
My job was burning piles of sawn up lumber in the fireplace to keep the chill out. Too many years later I realized I was burning the woodwork from the first scenes- in the 'gentleman's club'. Nothing in the ship scenes had white paint, and I learned the Admiralty rooms were filmed in an original 18th century government building. So if I knew then what I know now... I could have kept a couple pieces of that firewood and have rare priceless film history antiques that might be worth a small fortune today!! ya reckon mate??
Or am I hallucinating again?? Like the grass skirts on the dancing girls on Norfolk Island... who really didn't have dancin' girls at all when I was there... so sad...

I recon you gotta lay off that wacky weed boy !!

They'll be asking the sum $175 AUD that would be, you doggered Scoundrel :p

The quality Jib i have know looks class one A, Mr Alan Bond......

Its had a paint job and some mods but lacks the quaility massey ferguson sticker..

On a side thought...
I ve decided that timber against metal causes the metal to rust. Stair treads around here with timber treads have rusted out and the carryall i picked up on the weekend, is rusted under the timber floor, must be the acids in the timber that eat that steel right up, or maybe moisture just sitting in there doing its thang

Best go ask me some bloody doggered pirates

oooh me poor un-informed decendant of a transported chicken thief...Did you know that- in modern times... like good ol' 20th cenutry... an 'aluminium' life boat must not rest on steel davits? There must be bronze or wood between- or the both will suffer like Bligh spending 100 days in a leaky boat!! Oh. that was a split enz song...
Aye. Steel AND wood must be painted before being bolted together- especially in the tropical paradise you live in. Pressure treat is the new norm for outdoor projects in the states and Canada, buys ya some time, afew years at least.
I would think Toecutter would be so proud if you had a jib on each tractor- just in case... like for a good flogging, drawn and quarter, butchering a great white at a beach party Barbie- useful jobs like that. Stick yer blunderbuss under his gullet and make him an offer he can't refuse.... uphs. Wrong movie..

Hey Miner! When you plan your next overseas voyage... make it Australia. And give yourself enough time to teach PCP how to chisel people down like a Texan does!! And bring him a set of torches.... he needs a set of torches yesterday.... his old jib boom has a hard list a starboard. Until he lifts something... then there's a hard list to port...
