My new Ferguson..what is it?

I just bought this tractor yesterday and have done some research but still trying out what i have...Serial # is 85444 so i think it's a 1948, Correct? It has the aluminum trans case. Has the one piece shifter/steering cover. Also has Z-120 on the block. Is it a TE-20 or a TEA-20? And what country do you think it originated?...Any help appreciate.. thanks

Also if it's a 49 shouldn't it have the Standard Engine and not the Continental?

MrMustang, the 85444 is a 1949. The first TE-A 20 was S/N 8710, and the TE 20 & TEA 20 were built side by side up to S/N 48000. The TE-A-20/85 started at S/N 172501. The last TE-20 series tractor was 517651 and built October 1956. ALL TE series and all FE series were built in Coventry, England. AS I understand they did put the Z 120 in some tractors after the cut off date if the dealer requested a Z 120.

Sounds like a TE-20. It should have struts between the bell housing and the front axle support.
This was necessary because the Z120 did not have screws below the engine centerline to brace it
to the bell-housing. Something was needed to effect structural integrity.
