TEA 20 Part #

I need to replace the fiber washer that seals the vent tube behind the carb to the engine block. As I don't have a Massey dealer close I have
been getting my parts from the green store. They have been really helpful and were even able to substitute JD parts they had in stock for
obsolete Ferguson parts.(gaskets and screen for the original sediment bowl for a start) However I need a good Agco number for them to get
parts from the Agco warehouse.Does anyone have a number for this washer? I have drawn a blank. Thanks Rob

Rob, The TE-A20/80 and TE-A20/85 use different carbs. I can't help you but if you let others know which engine and carb. you have this may help them. If your engine S/N is S22666E and up you have a TE-A20/85 if lower you have a TE-A20/80. If your carb. is stamped 1264 you have a 85mm engine if it is stamped 1201 you have a 80mm engine. Hope this helps.

The washer I need seals the vent tube to the side of the block. It doesn't touch the carb itself. It is located on the engine block surface behind the carburator. Hope that makes things clearer.

Are you referring to the small dia pipe from the air cleaner to the engine block that taps into the block just behind the back of the carb and has a banjo bolt into the block?

I found the pipe in our TEA parts book but no washers etc listed.

If so it is just a suction line and won't be too worried as to what the washers are - fibre or copper ought to work. You'll need one each side of the banjo

You can buy the washer you want from any decent hardware or plumber's shop . Ask for a fibre tap body washer , they come in a vast array of sizes and thicknesses .
Don't confuse them with tap jumper valve washers , the right ones are used for sealing the spindle top of the tap to the faucet bottom . One should cost all of 25 cents .
The same sort of washer is used for the vent pipe to rocker cover junction.

Found them! In the front of the book with the block listing

825293M1 Washer - fibre 5/8" i/d x 7/8" o/d x 1/16" thick

825294M1 Washer - fibre 9/16" i/d x 13/16" o/d x 1/16" thick

No problems. Gaskets can be very adaptable.

People I know bought a dozer and realised it had a leak out of the sump On droping the guard they found that it had been run without and the front knocked out of the aluminium sump.

The fix was a bit of steel plate Tec screwed to the remains with

a gasket made from a beer carton
