Finally got the TO35 back

Fortunately it was the head gasket and not the liners and O rings. Also had a bad water pump which I didn't notice. Runs fantastic now. Basically had head gasket replaced, water pump, thermostat, engine oil and filter and anti-freeze. Had the ignition put back to spec. There was a remote starter hooked up which I didn't like at all. It by passed all the safety issues.
Did some bush hogging today for 2 hrs and it was hot and muggy here and temperature never went above 170 degrees. Before is would be at 180 to 200 and I thought it was just the summer heat. Never realized how good something that old could run so good. Thanks for all the help and advice whenever I needed it. Fantastic group here

Good to hear, still may need to invest in a debris screen for the front of the radiator grill,
Fall is rough on these old tractors,

Bush hogging out in this dead grass and weeds, weed seed, all this stuff can clog up a normal radiator and without a front grill screen you
never know the front of the radiator is covered,

Just a heads up,

I bet more old tractor motors are ruined during this time of year than in the spring
I believe this site has radiator screens for fords and fergusons

I saw a picture of yours that you posted a while back. I'll have to check here and pick one up. Fortunately my fields are all live grass and didn't pick up hardly any debris while hogging but its worth it to get one.
