to-20 hydraulics

in the process of acquiring a to-20 project. to the right and just behind the shifter there is some 1/2 inch water pipe, a few elbows and a shut off valve coming out of the deck. previous owner said he thinks it is a hydraulic outlet. does this tractor have 2 way hydraulics or just one way? was thinking if i get this thing running, i may add a spool valve for two way and return it somewhere to the resevoir. never fooled with a fergie before. serial number shows it to be a 1951, to 51000 range on the serial number. thx

It doesn't have much of a pump, low volume, around 2000 lbs if I remember right. It's all tied in to the 3 point, but there is a way to get pressure from the port where the 1/2" pipe is, think you have to chain the 3 point down, set the lift for up...

What you do with the pressure from there determines if it is 2 way or gravity return. You can return it to the gear case. There is not enough volume to do much with it, and the pump only runs with the clutch engaged. A loader would run painfully slow.

That's not a good tractor for a loader, even if you put a front mount pump on it. No power steering, weak front suspension, weak steering.

if it has 2k, that will be fine. i have a woods rm600 finish mower i can put behind it, and a 7 ft landscape rake. would like a cylinder on the rake to swing it from the tractor.
