TO-30 twisted pto question

Need a little help here, I twisted my PTO while tilling and my Pto lever is stuck. I opened the observation hole and cut the shaft. I have the shaft out but I still can not get the hydraulic assembly to drop out the bottom or the rest of the bent PTO out. Anyone have any ideas before I split the tractor? I really think I am missing a step and I have researched pretty heavily. I have not seen anything that I am missing but the hydraulics have to be connected to something that is preventing my from pulling them out and removing the rest of the old PTO shaft.
Really would appreciate any help
 
The PTO shaft goes all the way through the pump and continues on into the coupler at the rear of the transmission that engages the PTO. You will need to either cut the shaft again in front of the pump or split the tractor behind the transmission. You will need to remove the top cover to get to the shaft in front of the pump.
