I have a TO30 that I recently purchased and bought a scraper blade and rake to use on my property. I have used it a dozen or so times and recently noticed that when i raise my implement it starts to shake. I can lower it halfway down and it stops. i was thinking perhaps valves, any thoughts and thank you.[/b:3c88f8e741]

The jerky lifting is typical of bad valves in the hydraulic pump.

But it shouldn't matter what position the arms are in, any time it is under hydraulic power going up, it will shake with bad valves. Once it is in position, or being let down, the shaking will stop.

The pumps are known for having valve problems, the springs and valve stems break, and that segment of the pump becomes inoperative, causing the uneven oil flow, and therefore the jerky motion.

The pump will need to come out and be disassembled. If all it needs is valve work, the parts are available.

If there are other problems, probably ahead to buy a rebuilt pump. You can buy rebuild kits, but the one I bought did not work. The components didn't have the proper clearance and had to be machined. I had access to the equipment to do the work, otherwise it would have not worked.

While the pump is out, it would be a good time to clean out the gear case sump, they get nasty over time. There will probably be water in the case too. It gets in through the shifter boot and condensation. This is a somewhat involved job, but not difficult. A shop manual would be a very valuable investment!
