Hi.

Doing the rear brakes ATM. Have read stuff and need it clarified which way the springs go on the rear brakes of a tea20.

My photos that i took when i pulled the left one apart is that the red spring ( tougher spring is on the bottom), is this correct and is it the same for both wheels?

Ha Ha charles... I just did a search and found that photo on another post....

That answer the question. So who ever worked on the brakes before me put them on the wrong way.... so great to see that photo. Cheers

Apparently my photo in the first post is correct.

Seems strange that the LHS has the blue spring on the top and the RHS blue spring is on the bottom.... As the bottom shoe is the primary one

I found this from John(UK) in a post.
The red spring is the top one on the Right side and the bottom one on the left side that is the later type which from what you say could be yours (3 springs) earlier one had two springs. If you need more info on this email me at:- fergusontractors(at)tiscali.co.uk ....John

Did the new shoes on the LHS, so both sides are now done,, Its a comforting feeling to have brakes that work and stop you bloody well.....
