Geeze mate , Spielberg you're not :) . The movement isn't normal , though most tractors have it and it probably won't cause too much trouble .
Your ' movie ' is good enough to show that the pins need changing and the arms most likely need bushing if you want to remedy the slop. Welding the hole and redrilling probably won't be hard enough to cope with the wear at those points .

Yee, he's more of an Alfred Hitchcock... screen goes black just as things get interesting. Interesting seat cover tho... Corinthian burlap? I forgot what the name of that sack cloth is down under.
I think that arm is suppose to mount lower than the way it is welded up now- it would be steadier- since it is homemade, and we have no idea how good an engineer he was- and what brand he made it for- yeah, looks like a hand torched hole? So bush the holes in his bracket, even old copper pipe- get new pins 'if' yours are worn, and tighten up the lower links on your lift with brackets, chains etc. If it was brand new right off the shelf, I'd say your tractor needs work, but this is a project than needs tweeking, so start tweekin'....... then we'll look at the tractor side again

righto you smart a^^^..

IT was a quick and dirty vid so to keep the size down. But when i decide to link to it.I can know make a top notch one.. Na i am alfred Spielberg

Hessian potato sacks that would be as my seat.

just shows its been used over the years.
probably be working long after you are gone,

just keep the fluids changed and clean should work fine.

I would be more concerned with the boom pole, could bend to the left or right under a heavy lift and tear up you lift arms. would think it should have some side braces.

do not have to be like mine, but the general idea

My neighbors later model MF35 had grease zerks in those castings to keep that crossbar greased,
Over the years he greased the bar, downside he must have over greased them as the excess grease shoots out and goes down into the trans
hyd oil sump,
As time when on the grease clogged up the lift pump system

So you are doomed if you lube or don't lube

Atherton tableland potatoes!!! .... brings back so many memories... one of the fine contents of a steak and kidney pie.... I knew a Sheila that couldn't cook a cup of tea, but she could buy the best meat pies in the shop.... a tear comes to my eye... sniff!
