the owner talked to a massey guy at a dealership near him and the massey guy said that if the clutch does NOT slip then most likely the clutch can be adjusted. how does that sound to you all?

thanks.

I believe that adjusts like a 35 would, loosen the pinch bolt and rotate the pedal arm upward. Leave about 3/4" freeplay at the top so the release bearing isn't riding the pressure plate.

Nothing to loose by trying...

Be sure you have the (rod-bolt-screwdriver) in hole when you loosen pedal bolt.Hold pressure on tool your using. I always mark position before loosening. You shouldn't move very much as you can feel pressure when adjusting.

I got the manual and the tools and I will write down tips and suggestions I get here. problem is if me and the owner get the clutch adjusted properly he will most likey want more than the 2500 I offered him..........catch 22.(yossarian)

You don't even need him to help. I thought it was going to be 26 delivered? If he helps adjust the clutch- and delivers, that's cool too.... but really? does he know anymore about it than you do? Then he could be more harm than good. Just get it home as it is now.

its near our place in upstate pa. 205 miles from home. if I buy it it will go to the property not home base.
