Replacing PTO Shaft seal

The PTO seal on my TE20 is leaking a tremendous amount of oil. I ordered a new one from here and hope to see it soon.
Is replacement just a matter of unbolting the four bolts, removing the snap ring and replacing the seal in the cover?

Thanks

Ryan

Yes but you will have to drain oil or you can raise rear up high and not drain. I have
a steep slope in front of my shop and I park front of tractor down low and replace seals.

Mine also leaked. I took the easy way out and just sealed the PTO cover with lots of thread goop. Needless to say, I don't use the PTO anymore.

This is a really convenient time to clean out the backend . Drain all the oil if you can manage it , reuse it if it is still ok by all means .
There is a pocket between the lift pump and the PTO shaft that collects handsfull of gunk , it never really comes out in an oil change . Pulling the shaft lets you get right into it and clean it out by hand . A flush with Kerosene or diesel will see the backend much cleaner than before . Remember to put the seal on the right way , felt to the pto cap rubber lip to the sump .
