Hi guys i need new brass washers for my tank, Can someone tell me the D and ID of these washers as i cannot find it anywhere on the WWW world. Cheers

Your tank? You got a water tank? Don't have a billabong? Undaa the shade of a koo kaaa baa treeeeee... OH!!!! Banjo Peterson? Was that his name?
Nay bloody idea what sort of brass washers he had either...
U don't have one to bring to a shop? Should be an off the shelf item- I never met one of these model ted's....

Copper washers if you can find them . Hydraulic supplier will have them , sometimes electrical wholesalers as well , don't know the size offhand but it isn't that critical . New ones might need to be softened , heat then quench in water , for some reason copper softens rather than hardens when treated this way .

Yeah, i have had the blood fuel tap off so many times trying to get a good seal in the 2 way tap so it would stop leaking petrol and draining my tank by evapouration. So now that is sorted and tank clean i reassembled and the washers have been squashed for 60 years so now i have a slight leak at the washers... Was hoping to get the size so i could buy and replace quickly.... but all good

Nylon 'O' rings might do it? Metal to metal watertight rarely works on anything older than factory floor. Car brake hydraulic copper rings/washers? Again, once torqued down, not usually reusable.
But if a petrol safe squishy washer does trick..

Paterson. Not Peterson. Why didn't none of you bloody strines correct me on this? Took me all week.. but I remembered his name!! tisk tisk....

Tony , seeing that you want to be corrected .

'' koo kaaa baa treeeeee..'' sounds like something that grows in New Guinea !
The line is from 'Waltzing Matilda ' and is supposed to be '' Under the shade of the Coolabah Tree ''

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eucalyptus_coolabah

That song is about as close to the ' Battle Hymn of the Republic ' as we have . :)

I suppose you should be given credit for even knowing Banjo Patterson exists , well done !

Well, Charles, the Sheila that tried to teach me that song was a Kiwi.... and we were half way thru a case of 4 X...... sooooo.... mis pronouncing an aboriginal word was the least thing on my mine....

Patterson ( sir Les), Shelia's, Kiwis, Tractors, 4x, billabongs, Man i need a beer, oh and apparently a censis to fill out

Can't say I ever saw one of those on a vehicle before- altho it looks to be the finest of 1880's railway plumbing technology...
