TO-30 Front shaft

I removed the loader from our TO-30. Now I need to take this front shaft off. It looks like a splined shaft that bolts into the main pulley. Do I just take the bolts out of the pulley, then will the shaft come out?? Thanks

Yes, take the bolts out and the whole assembly will come off the front pulley. Not sure what you will have to do to get it apart though, those are aftermarket so designs vary.

Have you tried to pull the shaft out? It may just unspline if there are no visible set screws. Be easier to pull before unbolting the flange.

I believe that shaft should just slide in. Chances are that over the years it has formed a locking groove into the hub and might need a twist in opposite direction of normal rotation and then pull out. That TO-30 front hub should still be available new. TO-20 is not.

If it is not splinned it is left hand thread so clockwise will unscrew the shaft from the pulley adapter plate. Or just remove the four bolts.
