Original Parts

I am new to the tractor world and recently bought a circa 1952 Ferguson TO-30[/size:2f6ed79dc4][/color:2f6ed79dc4]. Have already performed a tractor split to replace the main seal because hydraulic oil was entering the bell housing and fouling the starter. I love this thing, loved working on it- was built right yaknowwhatimean?[/color:2f6ed79dc4]
My [i:2f6ed79dc4]question[/i:2f6ed79dc4] is this, and I realize it may be fairly simple but, where is a good place to purchase original parts for this tractor? After market is OK for some things but I really don't like the idea of putting Chinese[/size:2f6ed79dc4][/color:2f6ed79dc4] on my Fergy[/size:2f6ed79dc4][/color:2f6ed79dc4]

Welcome to Fergy World!! It looks like you have been mentioned in the
post below. This site sells parts and your best bet might be to keep an
eye on fleabay and buy used then get it rebuilt or rebuild it yourself.
New points sometimes come with a glaze on them and require running a
file past them to break the glaze to make them work. There has been an
occasional issue with finding a decent quality condenser. Lots of good
advise on this board regarding your ol' Fergy. The wife has one and I
will never tell how much has been spent on her machine. No other machine
that has come along so far has been this much of a money pit. Not even
the boat. Everything has been touched on her machine. Soon enough I get
to take it back apart and change a few other things with copious notes
along the way for this old brain of mine.

Thanks for answering, I tried fleabay and they don't have anything that comes up for this tractor....
What did you mean " mentioned in the post below?" I don't see a post either....

There is several tractor parts suppliers. I shop around and compare. A lot of different
prices for the same part. Some suppliers don't sell everything you will need. I use
Sparex for most parts. They are owned by AGCO (MF)and most parts are from England. This
site on left also sell parts. It's hard to find old original parts. When you do they
will be pricey.

An excerpt from the post below.

"A young man , eyes bright , with a touch to the bonnet as soft as if
with his first love .

The Grey soul reborn"

Keep looking at fleabay. Look at Ferguson and TO 30. TO 20 is also a
candidate.

Thanx for answering. I tried Sparex- they only deal or sell parts to dealers

I rather doubt even an MF dealer stocks MF made replacements- like miner said, they might just sell you something out of a sparex or tisco catalog. Look in the YT online store here, sales support the website here...

If you put Ferguson TO30 in your flea bay search you will come up with thousands of new and used parts. Close the used parts on the left side
and right now there are about 300 parts, including one seller who is parting out a tractor. I have had incredible luck on the flea bay site.
Another source is Craig's list, I have bought five tractors off of there one for parts that I restored.

Ps welcome to the best Ferguson site.
