Rocker Arm Rebuild

When I pulled my rocker shaft apart to clean up, I noticed the shaft had lost the locating pin at some point in time, and the shaft looked like it had spun around a little. I've tried to find information on the pin and how it fits, also what its made like and how can I make one to replace it when I put it back together. Any help would be appreciated. My manual talks about the pin, but no picture.

Does this help?

Yes. I see the pin but just not sure how it fits in the shaft, how long is the pin. Can I make one out of maybe a nail?

I looked at mine and I don't see a(14) pin. It looks like it is press on so not to turn. I can't turn it by hand. I looked at AGCO parts and the one I looked at don't show the #14 pin.???? The one I have is out of a 1957 Ferguson. Maybe you can find a used one and replace your's.

I believe a nail would work, as long as it fit the hole well.

Is the pin missing or broke off in the hole?

Best I remember the hole is drilled through one side of the tube, the pin needs to be long enough to go all the way across the ID of the tube and extend out into the recess in the support block.

I'll bet it's in there... Pretty sneaky the way they hide it, easy to not find it and shear it off trying to get it apart! Can't see it unless you pull the rocker back from the stand.
