TO with a loader

Hello;
I have found a TO 20 (or) 30 tractor with a loader that I think is the original one mounted. It has one bar on either side curved in an upward arc and a curved bar to the frame. The tractor also has a box gannon on the back. It currently is not running but was 6 months ago. It is advertised for $2900, but I don't think it is worth that much. I was thinking more of an offer of $1500. Any comments on the value of such a unit? Also, if not this candidate, then maybe a (?)

Not running, $1500 is still too high. I would ask them to make it run, offer $1500. Otherwise maybe $500 IF you think there are no major problems.

If you intend to use the loader, something with power steering is a big plus! The TO35 Deluxe had power steering.

Hi;
I should also add, relating to my question above, that I am California and things seem to cost more out here, with not as many vintage tractors being available, etc. Also, my goal is to have a MF TO 30 or 35 unit, an IH300 or a Ford NAA or 600, 800 tractor, with a loader. That should fill in the criteria, but I am open to any and all suggestions. The tractor will be used primarily for grading and snow removal, for the most part.

My first tractor with an FEL on a 9N was a non runner at $1900. The wife found it and insisted it come home. My last machine was a runner/user Ford 871 Gold Demonstrator with an FEL, brush hog and it just came home about two months ago at $2600. Scrap is currently going for about $50 a ton. That tractor weighs in around 3,000 lbs. That comes down to $75 for a non runner. Not running? So it smokes when? just starting or continuously? What about that engine noise? is that a tick or a knock?
OH! It's a smoking knocker? And you spent how much?? If the owner can't make it run, the price is in the basement. Now if you go out and make it run, the owner will thank you for the privilege of making it run and charge you $1800.
Stop drooling, play it cool and it it goes away, good luck to the next poor sap buying a non runner.
Now if your dead set on shooting your self in the foot, get a trailer and pay a visit, drop your money on the table and pray the fix will be cheap enough to justify your rash decision.
And an FEL with no factory P/S is a real muscle builder but there are a few ways to make that easier to work with also.
