Update on Head gasket for 1955 TO35

Well I finally checked with 2 repair shops and one antique tractor service shop said it sounds like the liner and head gasket that would run me about $3,000. The other, an authorized Massey dealer, said it would be no where near that price and he would pick it up for me and check it out and give me an estimate. Sounds like I'm going with the Massey dealer.
Might as well get it done by the dealer as he said they work a quite a few of those models and who would know them better than dealer and of course you guys here on this site. I'll have him give it a good once over look and I should be good for a long while. Thanks again for the help , once again all of you were right on the money with diagnosis.

if you don't have the desire or the time or the tools or the expertise or the space and you have the moola it's a no brainer. BTDT.

I don't know if I want to tackle the job. I do some work on my car but nothing that involved, especially if it involves the liner which I know nothing about.. BTW is it an expensive repair?
