Mole/Gopher killer

Had moles in the past few years. Think I got a gopher now. THAT s*cker tears up the ground real good. Stopped off at the hardware store last night and got a steel bucket. I will now turn the bucket upside down, Mount a lawn mower engine, preferably side shaft, and then run a tube from the engine exhaust down through the bucket. Dig out the mole/gopher mound, place this contraption on top of the hole and start it up.
Breathe deep is all I have to say.

Maybe you need a few cats. I know a bunch in Texas that would love to spend a summer up north. Just send em back home before winter.

I hope you made them walk there... they need the exercise. Don't make them walk to Oregon. that would be mean.

My old cats have already brought 3 or 4 moles up to my back porch and deposited them,

I assume to show their hard work and appreciation for the food I feed them,

I have seen old cat lay still for a long period of time just waiting for a mole to move the ground, then she is on him,
Also they have drug up snakes, do not know how then kill them

That there is a new one on me. What does Clorox do other than chase them off to another section? Lots of room to run around in for a critter around here.

what good will exhaust gasses do? lighter than air will float on out lid over hole or not. Clorox will permantely (sp) poison the hole. ever breathe Clorox in a confined space?

Hmmm. Chemistry shows that the gases produced will include CO, or Carbon Monoxide and will, according to Physics, be heavier than air. That is good for killing moles it is also why people in my area of the US die from CO poisoning in Ice Houses. The gas doesn't float away it has to be moved by air currents.

Clorox on the other hand is quite poisonous and for quite some time so this is not something anybody should do. Joking or not don't do it.
