I could use some help with my pto it hasn't worked since I have had the tractor. I checked the 3 adjusting bolts by looking through the cover on the bottom of the clutch housing they looked to be about .090 but the pto clutch disc doesn't move when the pedal is depressed how can I unstick it. thank s for any help you can give .Randy

Sometimes .090 does not allow the PTO disc to release well, so I set the release bolts to .080. I'd block the pedal down and try to see if the PTO will release when in gear with engine OFF. May still need to adjust the free play also.

If you can start the tractor with the rotary cutter pto connected,
Take the tractor out into some heavy thick grass and start hogging,

With the pto under heavy stress from a full load, keep pressing the clutch down all the way to the foot board,

It might break the stuck pto clutch loose,

Be sure, be sure, to not overload the pto and stop the engine, however I guess you could uncouple the cutter pto shaft and get the tractor started,

This procedure is probably not safety rated so be careful,

I got a post hole digger auger unstuck from the gearbox this way once, just took out the connection bolts and started digging holes, after about four holes the connection between the auger and gearbox shaft came loose,

Maxwell99 that is what I did we hooked it up put it in gear and had my wife pull me with the other tractor and I brush hogged down in the swamp grass it was a good load the little 35 has some snot I'll say that. We went back to the shop and my wife went under and adjusted the three bolts as Dieseltech suggested but we haven't tried it out yet she did see the clutch disc separate just a little bit when I stepped on the clutch.
