Anyone know what direction the thermostat goes in the 35? It's not the same thermostat or situation as the 30. The 35 stat has a flange and fits onto the housing and does not slide in the hose like the 30. On the 35 does the spring go toward the hose or toward the block? My parts book is at farmhouse 15 miles away, so hoping someone can help and save me some driving. Thanks for replies.

The sensing bulb always goes toward the head, where the hot water is.
