USA is the greatest country.

I went to vote in the Ohio Primary election today. While running the gauntlet of campaigners to get to the polls I was approached and asked to support our current sitting US Congressman. (Brad Wenstrup 2nd-Oh) My terse reply was Wenstrup is an idiot. Rep. Wenstup happened to be standing right there... I did not see him. He did asked why I felt that way and that led to a very nice 10 min. one-on-one discussion with my congressman.

Anyhow the US and other western democracies (Aust/N.Z. too) are great, because you can have these interactions.

If I had said that to the Ayatollah I would not be here to type this, I'd be in jail. If I had said that of an ISIS official I would not have my head.

We are very fortunate to live where we live. I'm thinking here in NY candidates aren't allowed to have signs or be within 1000' of the polling place.

Just in the news-- an American in N. Korea tried to leave with a souvenir N. Korean flag. He got caught and was sentenced to 15 years of hard labor. BTW, I didn't know N. Korea allows visitors -- and why would anyone take the chance?
