Schrader tire valve

I went to check tire pressure in rear tire and as soon as I removed the metal cap on stem air started to escape. With the cap on the value does not leak. The tires are filled with calcium and was wondering if changing the Schrader valve will do the trick but are there special valves due to the calcium in the tubes. I have a package of new Schrader valves but are there special ones due to the calcium content?

Rotate the wheel so the valve is at the top and change out the Schraeder valve. I don't think there are any differences in them.

Nothing special about them but you do need to change them every year or so. Calcium is hard on the Schrader valves I have changed a lot of them that leaked because the calcium had eaten away at them.

Armand they make Stainless Steel for tires with fluid in them. There are 2 types, old style and the new style. The Stainless that I ordered had a stainless steel valve core in them. I've changed out hundreds of the brass 1's that are in cal filled tires.

Thanks for the info guys. The ones I have appear to be stainless steel. I got lucky this past year. There was a chrome metal cap on the stem and I guess that held the air in. Gonna pick up a few of them and dump the rubber ones.
