A friend of mine is cleaning up his place and is letting me have this. It starts up and runs smooth and the hydraulics work. I haven't put weight on it though. I am new to owning this kind of tractor and look forward to finding useful info here.

Wow. How come my friends don't give me stuff like this??? That hoe is the handiest style, sliding side to side like that. Looks like it may need new hoses one of these days. No rush. Do the tractor first.
Best start is to get the operator's and repair manuals.
Please let the guys here know the serial number and post some more pics. that's a good deal!!
Welcome to the fergie forum!

When you have a few minutes I am researching the 1956 TO 35 and I would like to get a little information off that tractor. My mail box is open.

Tony, you know those hoses don't need replacing until one of them squirts you in the face. That's when you replace them. You need to get every pennies worth of use out of them.

I wouldn't worry about the hoses too much....yet. However, should one decide to
spring a hole in it, hopefully it does not hit you in the face. I just picked up a
FEL and the hoses in places are down to the metal braiding. Considering my newer
orange interloper has been blowing hoses lately it makes me wonder a bit about the
exposed braiding. Being hit by the orange toy is enough to get my attention. Yes,
they should all be replaced. No, I am not that rich. Once the hose breaks, you are
pretty much stuck. With a mess also. Hopefully it isn't all over that freshly
plowed dirt in the garden. Or the driveway where the wife parks, or the kids
play...Or the dogs run...Or the cat...

Gee. I wonder why the wife is making noise....Alright, 6 fords can go and a few
other things.
Eventually I will get down to 4 tractors, two with FEL.
Then again two neighbors have those green things. . . two more could be fun. One
of those has an FEL also...
Better make the 6 Fords go quickly.

I think the front wheels are on inside out as I look at other pictures.
Also as I scrape paint off on the steering column below the instrument panel it goes from the green to bright yellow to a darker yellow. The darker yellow appears to be the final color.
I had thought the 1956 TO-35 was wither Gray/Green or Beige/Gray depending how early in 1956?
