Got a new one

It popped up on craigslist for 20 minutes before I found it. It seemed an eternity
before I got a response. The funding is not readily there to purchase this. I could
do it but the divot in the savings at this time is painful. This means a trip to the
credit union for a quick loan. I hope. I went to look at it. Front loader on it and a
massive brush hog on the back. That monster is 1/4 inch plate and adds to the
counterbalance for the FEL. No, it's not a Fergy...It's a Ford but it has the large
pie weights that might wind up on her Fergy.
Gotta run now. She needs the comp for researching a new microwave...

It's a Ford 801 Gold Demonstrator. Seems the Ford dealers in '59 were mandated to buy any model of a Ford tractor they desired but it would be painted gold. Dealers would then take the gold tractor around and demonstrate the capabilities of the new machine. The customers tractors would be delivered and painted red/gray of the day.
I believe, but am not certain that customers could also get their machine painted gold. I suspect at a higher price and not many went that direction.
Now lets see if I can get that pie weight pic. The tractor above got painted blue over gold. The blue has flaked off in a few places to reveal the gold underneath...Note the top of the far fender.

If those pie weights came off a Gold Demo model well no telling what they are worth. And if You have the sos well good luck finding all the gears.Nice--------PW'S

The dealer was suppose to repaint them red and grey but some dealers let them go without painting them.Should you ever decide to repaint it power wash and take a lot of photos before new paint.
If you are going to use the wheel weights on the fergy you will have to change out all of the adapter lug nuts. If you can't find them local email me and I'll put you intouch with a guy who has them.

Here is my gold demo after first power wash.
