TO30 hydralic oil

I know some use 10-w -40 motor oil in the tranny and rear end with good results. I can get 15-w-40 Heavy duty diesel engine oil. Would this work for TO-30?

For where you are, that's good. Further north, and the system would take awhile to loosen up, same as 10 or 15 in a cold engine.

I think any oil would be better than 90 weight GL1 mineral oil, that stuff is really stiff in the winter months
Never understood how or why the manufacture recommended that oil for these old tractors

I would go with 10w40 weight oil
