Can someone tell me if this Ferguson Drawbar uses the same clevis that is mounted under the differential of the 8N Ford as the one found on the Ferguson. The Ferguson number is A-TO-71 and the Ford number is 8N 802. Both clevis's are similar in appearance.

Del,
Here is the one off one of my TO-30's. It has been laying in my garage for years so I'm going to put it up for sale anyway so as soon as I can locate the clevis mount I will post some photos of a side by side with the 8n to show the difference. I know Tim had asked about it on the other channel.

The standard 8n one on the left ferguson on the right. The ferguson appears to be a little wider. The ferguson was actually 2 pieces, two pins and holes lined them up and bolts held them in place.

HiYa Del-
I just went thru this on the 'other' N tractor site. The answer is YES and NO. They are two different clevis brackets and TWO different horseshoe drawbars. The bolts are different for one. Next, the Ferguson drawbar has two pins which pilot into the Ferguson clevis -you can see one of the two pilot holes in the drawing on the bottom piece of the clevis. The Ferguson horseshoe drawbar will not assemble into the FORD clevis because of the two pins pressed into it. Now, if one were to grind off the two pins, then I believe the Fergie horseshoe will fit into the FORD clevis. Not sure if a FORD horseshoe will fit into the Fergie clevis, but I suspect it will. Here's a picture of the Fergie horseshoe with the pins...

Tim,
If you look at my ferguson cletis bracket you can see the 2 hole that line up with the pins you are talking about. If you notched out the 8n bracket ot would probably work or as you said grinded them off.

One would have to grind off the pins Kirk. Look at the Ford clevis bracket width and the span of the pins. They will impede the drawbar from setting flat and square into the clevis. I have to believe the pins are pressed in as I can't see any evidence of welds so may be bale to just punch them out. I don't want to muck with an original part so would leave it as is and get myself a Ferguson clevis so I am in the market...
