To30 gas tank removal.

I need to replace the manifold on my TO30. It looks as if in order to access all of the manifold bolts the gas tank would need removed. Would this be correct? If so I need to get a complete parts list ordered. The parts manual has webbing listed to cushion the tank from the mounts. It has no size listed. What size is correct? From this site and others it lists webbing. Some are nylon that look like a dog leash. Others are listed as a impregnated canvas. I'm not interested in original just function. What would everyone recommend? Thanks, John

I remove tanks to get to bolts. A little extra work but makes it a lot easier. Any thin piece of rubber will work. I've used a old inner tube and old army tarp(not plastic tarp) and cut it out. Anything to keep it from rubbing a hole in tank. Webbing is what came from factory.

I found a length of Transport TIEDOWN (edge of highway). Now my JD "D" and TEA 20 Ferguson Fuel Tanks have YELLOW TIEDOWN material between Tank supports and TANK. Also attached same material to DASH of MF 35 X to replace original rubber material where HOOD meets DASH.

I just used what I had available. Rubber strip on bottom and cork gasket material on top.
