looks like a fire hazard to me,

saw this picture on a facebook page picture

I assume this metal shield was installed on the exhaust pipe to protect (a rubber fuel line) from the exhaust pipe heat.

looks like an unsafe fix,

I do have an inline fuel filter on my TO35, but insured I have the factory steel fuel line in and around the exhaust pipe, also insured no in fuel filter rubber connector hoses were touching the tractor body.

Looks like a metal fuel line from here and a heat shield around the pipe to "prevent" percolation.
Hope that it worked after having gone through that modification. I am willing to bet that after that mod, the owner found the three filters in the system.

I got a new tach cable lately and it was too long by a few inches. I routed it though to the left side of the steering column and then up to the tach, to use up a bit of extra length. I think I got it from Steiner.

The reason he had to take all day to invent a fix, is cause he didn't want to take an hour to do it right. This carb came off a something else. One that was aiming the other way. He needed to take the plug off the other side, then screw in the line fitting back there. The fuel line would then be between the block and the air tube- as Sir Harry and Continental Motors intended....
