TO20 Hood Bolts

I know this is simple and I could make do but I am curious about the hood pivot bolts. When I got me tractor, the hood bolts were just bolts with nuts and washers. They were not a proper fit. I lost one a while back and ordered a set from here. They do not fit as in nothing to screw the bolt into. The hole is too big on the frame. My question is; Do they have nuts and washers on the end or was the frame supposed to be threaded? If nuts and washers, why does it not come as a kit. I do not have a diagram to see.
Thanks

There would have been a captive nut in the what you call the frame for these to fix to, the bonnet pivots on the unthreaded section.

You can weld nuts on back side frame. They had brackets spot welded (may not be correct name) holding nut
from factory. Line up hood and mark before welding nut to frame.

(quoted from post at 10:35:19 12/13/15) I was thinking about welding nuts there to secure the bolts. I think that is what I will do.
Thanks
eing "welding-challenged", I used nuts with nylon inserts.

Also, if the bolt holes in the hood are egged-out, a couple of large washers will help the bolts fit better.

The original nuts were square head so they could not turn in the brackets.

The hardware was known as a GANG and or a CAGE and possibly other terminology in NORTH AMERICA.A SQUARE nut (7/16 NF)was placed inside a metal frame work and allowed to be self aligning/float to the bolt ( the nut was loose inside the gang/cage). There seems to be NO part number other than the pivoting Bolt in the Ferguson Parts Catalogue?

Not sure why they don't supply with washes and nuts. I have never seen an original te20 with nuts welded to the brackets. Simply buy two 7/16th nuts and split lock washers. As previously mentioned the bonnet pivots on the flat part of the bolt so isn't an issue. You could even use a nylock nut if you're not worried about originality.
