Good that your getting new store. The local store here has higher prices than Atwoods and local feed store. So I always shop. TSC was cheaper when open but kept raising prices. I buy there when it has discount on items. Not very often.

Walmart I could do without.Have not been in Walmart since 2009. I'd would sure go for a TSC store closer than 70 miles.

Tractorguy2 that would just be a nice little drive. Something to look forward to every week. Break up the week a little. LOL

In my opinion, TSC is just a glorified hardware/pet/clothing store. They have very few tractor parts and the brand they sell now, County Line, are just cheaply Made In Cheena sure to fail junk. I avoid going there if I can because even if I just pop in to get a part or a nut or bolt, chances are I walk out empty handed. The MAJIC brand paint is total garbage, the prices on oil filters and everything else is high, and the staff usually clueless. The hydraulic oil is about the only thing I buy there. They used to be semi- OK but have become a waste of time for me. Use at your own risk...

well tim I agree with most of what you said but when it is the only game in town.......

oil and nuts and bolts is what I buy mostly and a candy bar or two at the checkout.

We go there for feed and what-not. I just don't like the smell of all the candles they sell by the check-out.

I go there for nuts and bolts etc. but for the past year or so they are likely to be out of whatever I'm looking for. Clerks tell me stocking orders are made by "corporate" and they have no control.

I bought one of their 22 ton log splitters. I have to say, so far I'm impressed. The price was very competitive and so far its shown its durability. I guess time will tell. I split about 7 cords of various species and sizes. It had no problem splitting an oak log 20" long and at least 20" wide.

I don't buy many tractor parts from them. Not that there is much anyways. Nuts, bolts and the occasional cheap tool. Their wood stoves are a joke, with the exception of the pot belly coal stove I saw there that was cast iron.

Orschelns built a huge store about 35 miles from me to replace there tiny store. I was there last week. They put most of the tractor parts on clearance. All the voltage regulators, magneto parts, and most of the tune up kits.
Only kits they have are front and side kits for Ford's.

They also stopped carrying glass beads for blasting cabinets. I now have to drive the 70+ miles to TSC to get glass beads.

I've noticed over the years TSC's tractor parts inventory is decreasing. When I bought my 9n back in 99. TSC had front bumpers, rear rims, engine kits, battery boxes, radiators, plus tons of small stuff. Now, TSC just carries the small stuff.

I remember being in TSC with my dad back in the 70's. They had wide front axles and 3pts hitch conversion kits right there on the floor.I thought that was the neatest thing.that was back when dad would order engine kits over the phone and have the kit mailed from TSC to his repair shop.
