soccer,
I may have gotten suckered so bad on the replacement of my clutch TO35 1957 model duel clutch.
they ordered a clutch pak, would not fit, so they ended up sending my clutch pak back and having it rebuilt. take note as others have said, the serial # of the tractor is very important as they changed the way they were built along the way, hopefully making them better.
that to this day, sounds a bit fishy, but the early one's must have been more trouble to repair especially if you do not know how to do it.
when I got it back, I could have easy shifting of transmission gears and hard almost no way to get the pto in gear or the other way around.
so they had to take the clutch out again, was told they shaved some off the pto clutch pad.
all I know is for the first year or so I just turned the motor off, engaged the pto, would go right in gear with motor off, worked fine,
but after a few years, I guess its worn in a bit, both transmission and pto work fine.
I would not want to go through that again,
if it ever needs a clutch again, I will for sure ask more questions about the skill and knowledge of the mechanic on working on these older Ferguson duel clutch machines.
