To 30 manifold

Need to replace the manifold on a TO30. I'm getting the parts together in advance.
My question is do the manifold studs go into the water jacket and do they need thread sealer if so? I see, I believe, that ford n's are this way.
The studs were a little bit of a problem to locate. Most aftermarket part books do not list them. Agco dealers for the most part said they don't carry any TO30 parts. 1 dealer in New Jersey was very helpful and will get them in 3-4 days. Only dealer to lend any help. I did not try McMaster Carr as I have seen on here they carry most bolts. Thanks for the help, John

Studs done go into water jacket. You can go to auto parts and get new studs. Just take old one to compare. Sparex carry's manifolds and most all parts for 30. Your AGCO dealer should be able to order parts from Sparex since they own Sparex. Did you check this site for parts you need?

Yes this site and others have the gaskets and manifold. No one has the studs. I found the studs at a nearby MF dealership, 40 miles. The guy was awesome looked it right up. All other MF dealers closer and farther just said right away we don't carry ferguson TO30 parts. I guess they don't want to be bothered. Would just rather sell you a new tractor, or some young kid working the counter.

Well, now you got the studs- or on the way, a lot of people use brass nuts. So hopefully never ruin a stud again, and easier to come off the next adventure... atleast partway into the next millennium..

You could have bought them online from an Agco dealer. They are part number 1006690M1 and they are $5.60 from Agco. Or you could buy them from McMaster for $1.63 and had them in two days at the most.
