time he is there, I still have my 8NH t0 maintain the property. Thanks again. James

Yes, I am in no hurry. It has been 59 years so far and haven't found the answer as yet so I am sure four more months won't hurt anything. HA HA. Thank you Richard

Jim I am trying to find the last 1960 TO 35 and 1960 first MF 35. Also looking for the last 1956 Grey and Green TO 35 and first Bamboo Beige and Grey (or Green, which ever it was) maybe someday we will be able to find out. I am down to no more than 307 difference on the 1956 and at 1,121 on the 1960. A lot of people do not want to give out their serial number. In this day and age I can understand why they don't. I haven't been looking for that split of the HF and MHF. By the way I had someone tell me the difference between HF and MHF at an auction I believe it was at Joe Burks. HF means Harry Ferguson and MHF means Mr. Harry Ferguson, sounds good to me. Between what I have been doing with this and the stupid U. S. Treasury Dept. allowing Central States Pension Fund to take up to as much as 69% of our retirement money I haven't been looking to take on anything else. Still fighting the Pension Fund and the person in charge makes $660,000 (at least) a year. Now why would anyone have any reason to believe our pension Fund is going broke? Sorry I get upset!!!

Richard, I was guessing they changed the letters at the same time they went from 6 to 12 studs on the axel housing. Have you ever seen 6 studs on a HF casting? Also I got a news letter from Sheriffs association while back and I could not beleive the number of people we have to feed everday locked up!!! Our kids and grand kids have a mess on their hands. I would like to know the last green gray 35 also.

Jim if I ever find that out it will be posted on the best Ferguson Forum on the www. That is right here. I do have a very late 57 TO 35 which was one of 1,874 that used the new 58 hood and painted Red and Flint Metallic Grey. I know the 58s were suppose to be using the 12 bolt but mine is 285 from the end of the 57s and it still has just the 6 bolts. I don't know if they kept them for the very first of the 58s or when they finally got them into the system.

Steve19438 I am not as unfortunate as that person I will only loose 54% of my pension. Whee isn't it nice to be connected with the Mafia? LOL Just think there are over 300 unions in the U.S. and I can only bet they are watching this mess to see if they might have a chance to do the same thing.

Jim, I do remember that on the ser. tag it said MHF, I did look uo the mumber on this site and it read 1956, When i got it the color was green and beige. Hope this helps a little. James

Jim go to the FENA site go to resources and scroll down and click on technical tips then click on Evolution of TO 35 to MF 35 then go to the last page Foot Notes and that may clear up some confusion. Engineering Dept. did not authorize new decals or hood emblem until 2/9/60 then I am assuming they had to send the drawings to companies that could make decals and emblems so that took up until about middle of May.

The 56's I've seen have had the 6 studs on the axel housings. I have done a little resurch on the dashes and the changes on the steering chrome collars and gromlets. I wish that there were better records.

My castings are showing MHF and they only have 6 bolts. I was under the impression all TO 35s had MHF castings. But for some reason I guess I never thought about that before. I will keep my eyes open more.

James I am fairly sure all the 35 serial tags show Massey Harris Ferguson or Massey Ferguson Inc. on the bottom of the tag but what I am referring to is the four digits at the top of the tag. The Ferguson Tractor tags show TO 35 and the Massey Ferguson Tractor tags show MF 35. I had been in contact with a family whose Continental engine was built in 1961 and the father was very sure it had a Ferguson hood emblem on it originally but it had been through a fire so the serial tag on dash was destroyed.
