Ferguson Charity Threshing day

We had a threshing day yesterday in Northern Ireland in aid of the local Childrens Hospice...The oats were grown using the Ferguson System and the thresher was driven with a Perkins engined Ferguson TE 20....I took along my F-40 and organised the ploughing...We had a great turnout of people for such a new event, ...but my photos were taken at the end of the day when most were away home!

Now you see Sam me boy, Brendon's 40 'looks' like it is doing something useful.... mud, dirt, dust, things like that. Yours... well, just doesn't 'look' like it is growing anything!!
Muck! Nice wet mud! Fresh cow manure! Smear it all over!! I happen to have a fine collection of fresh and sun dried cow manure I could share with you no worries! If you don't believe me, just ask Mickey, although he was no help at all gathering it all up... said something about the weather wasn't right for a job like this...
OHH!!! Here's a pic of the MH 50 running out of petrol on a 97 degree F overcast morning...I thought it was fine weather for manure collecting???

Got some mud wedged into the front wheels Tony, but it is so dry here at present we just can't get the tractors dirty!

well there ya go! A little dried muck is better than no muck attall!! I'm not talented enough to plo-w/ough with a tricycle. Come to think of it, we've never owned a narrow front.
Good thing you are an ocean away- or Mickey would be hittin you up to buy it...
Looking at those paddocks on the hill back there .... oooohh... reminds me of my ol backpackin days.... moors.... heath... dales... 70 P for a warm ale in a pub full of redheaded birds... oooohhh..... magic!!
 
I figured it might be as close to an English 65 as I'd get. It sure is a handy little unit. Im the second owner. That's my 13 yr old nephew plowing.
