TEA 20 Radiator fit

I have a tea 20 and had to replace the radiator. I believe the one I replaced was original. The distance between the lower hose outlet and left front axial is just enough to pass a piece of paper through. This does not seem right. Am I wrong and if so is there a correction. I believe I can slide the radiator forward a bit but not enough to make a big difference.

That is a real common problem with aftermarket parts, close but not quite right.

Keep in mind the front axle pivots, so if it's that close sitting level, unless you're taking in consideration the pivot, it will be hitting.

The TO's use 1/4" rubber spacers under the lower mounts, not sure of the TE's. Don't know if that would be enough to correct the clearance.

If the radiator is not right, I would contact the supplier, see what they say. I've made the mistake of modifying the part and the tractor to make it fit. Not a good idea... One thing tends to lead to another, then you end up with a part you can't return and ugly modifications to the tractor, so be careful!
 

Steve is right , the after market radiators are dreadful to fit , but if you have no other choice it is what you must work with . Most times it is the hose spiggot alignment that is at fault . The TEA 20 also uses rubber pads to isolate it from the mounts . These can be cut from a piece of rubber conveyor belt or even a decent old work boot sole .
 
Thanks for the answers. I do have the rubber mounts but my issue is the front to back fit. I will try to slide the radiator forwards on the mounting slots and that should give me about a 1/4 inch more of clearance.
 
I picked up a radiator made in India or Turkey. I love my swiss cheeze memory...I believe it came from this site though and it was a near perfect fit for the wife's TO-20. China is a bit too far away to get it right.
