TO-20 Top Link Rocker

All,
I have been doing a bunch of long overdue maintenance/repairs to my 1949 TO-20. In going over the tractor examining most everything I could, I noticed the holes in the top link rocker where the top link attaches is quite worn, to the point the 3/4 in pin is quite sloppy. The holes are obviously ovaled with approx. 3/16 to 1/4 inch of metal left at the maximum wear point. I am looking to purchase a replacement rocker and bushing tube to replace the worn one. I have searched the archives and the internet trying to locate a replacement. The only ones I have been able to locate are located in the UK. I am in the US and really do not want to pay the expensive shipping to get a replacement one from the UK. Does anyone know if there is a US (or Canada) supplier for this part.

Thanks
Mitch

I would think there should be some good used ones out there as the TO20, TO30, 9n, 2n, and the TE series all used the same part. I do know I have one and tomorrow I will see if it is tight or sloppy putting the pin in it.

Lots of people weld the holes and then rebore them. If your top link rocker has that much wear then I would say the lift arm knuckles have a lot of wear in them too where the pins go thru.

My mailbox is open on the Classic View. Send me your email address and I can send you pictures of my part very tiny amount of slop NOTHING like you are talking. Richard

Jason, Thanks for the reply. I had considered removing the rocker, welding then re-boring on my milling machine, but wasn't sure how it would affect the strength. There is a small amount of wear on the lift arms, but not bad. The bolts through the lower lift arms, the ones the chains connect to were worn half the way through. I could have bought replacements, but welded up the original ones and turned them back down to the proper dimensions. The lower arms do have some wear in the holes, but not too bad. I will eventually either replace the lower arms, or weld and re-bore the holes. But not at this time.

Richard, Thanks for the replies. An email has been sent with my email address. I did not know that the rocker for the TO-20 and the Ford 2N/9N were the same part. There are a number listed for the Fords, but none for the TO-20. I look forward to seeing what you have.
