Plowing with the 40

This is my 13 year old nephew and my 77 year old uncle plowing
with my 56 Ferguson 40. The nephew pooped out before uncle. We
did about 4 acres. She sure barks with the governor opened up!

That got power steering? cool. The top of the fender looks like the un-faded bamboo, what a barn find! I know someone in Texas who'd love to have that one!
I see your leaves are barely turning... that's good... I am not a fan of north country winters...

Yep power steering with the usual leak. Its a little light in the
pants for plowing. We haven't had a frost yet so the leaves seem
slow to turn. This little one isn't going anywhere. I've taken
quite a shine to it even though its a gasser.

I was plowing this weekend with my 40, too. First time I've plowed since 1965. Needless to say things didn't go as well as planned. I had to take the coulters completely off to get the trash to go through, even though this was bean ground. River bottom gumbo and plowing 8" deep because I didn't know exactly how the use the draft control. Finally got it figured out and had a ball.
(Sorry, no pictures.)
