Been following this group for several yrs as I have a TO-30 and it is a great little tractor around the place. I am now looking for something prefer a Ferrgie or Fergusion with a loader that is big enough for pallet forks and 1 ton of pellets. Any ideas! Thanks all and 'Keep On Ferggie ing!!'

No Fergusons will pick up a ton with a front end loader. You will have to go to a Massey Ferguson and one of the bigger ones at that, probably in the 65 hp range or higher. The International 686 and up probably will handle it if you want to change brands.

Better off to go with a old forklift or construction / industrial model, not gonna lift a ton way out that far in front without a heavy tractor.

A Massey Ferguson Industrial has a more substantial front end than the 2WD agricultural models. I had an MF20 (Industrial) with a FEL and never had a problem. I have a 285 with a FEL and due to overloading, have replaced everything in the front except the axle and the left front wheel.

So you are buying wrapped pallets of 40 50 pound bags I bet?
I swear those are more work than firewood. And if there's no power to the fans....
Fergie loaders were designed for a couple hundred pounds of manure, not the earthmoving and industrial jobs people require them to do nowdays. Sliding a few bags at a time into a bucket off the pallet work for most people, if the dealer can't make you lighter -800 lb? pallets. An all terrain forklift would have its hands full with a 2000 lb pallet...
Seems a ton of anything is a heavy thing. When I first got to my job in New Zealand... I had to move a '2 tonne' machine... for some reason it seemed to weight about 400 pounds more than I expected...
you got to break up that load by hand however ya cut it... sorry.
