Changing oil seal on TEA-2085 PTO shaft

I need to change the oil seal on the PTO shaft. Can anyone give me a heads up on removing the shaft and then reinstalling it back into the tractor. Is there any gears or such that can fall off the shaft when removing it from inside the housing and miss it when reinstalling the shaft? Is the pto shaft connected to the hyd. pump? Thanks for all info.

1...Drain all oil from Trans. Hydraulic system.
OR.
2...Place rear wheels 12" higher than front wheels(RAMP).
I've never had anything fall off PTO shaft.

Remove PTO shaft.

You don't have to drain oil. Park tractor with front lower than rear or raise with jack. This will keep oil from draining. Remove bolts and pull shaft out and replace seal. Replace shaft and bolts. Everything will stay in place. Or you can drain oil then refill after replacing seal. Simple job.
