Replacement Spindles TO30

After purchasing replacement spindles from this site I have found that the wheel bearings will not slide into position. Has anyone else had this experience and if so how can it be corrected?
Thanks.

It's called SAE in a metric world. Hence the desire to buy used sometimes. I suspect you could contact the seller and inquire as to corrective action. Perhaps the seller has odd bearings to fit the odd spindles. This in turn might require odd hubs. Hope you have some odd tires that will work on your future odd machine. . .

Slapping my knee on that one. Always a comedian in the house. There aren't a lot of Ferguson in my area and the last time I bought used parts long distance the part was worse than the one that I took off. So I am leery of buying other people's junk. Looks like a trip to the machine shop for me unless the seller wants these back.

I haven't had the problem, but haven't bought any after market spindles... Have had plenty of problems with other after market parts though!

I would take some accurate measurements, compare them with the bearing specs. If they don't check out, send them back. Once the spindle is welded to the pin, no way to correct the diameter.

You could have gotten Ford spindles. I know bearing are different on the two. Can't remember which has the bigger on bottom. I gave a neighbor old spindles off 35 for his 600 Ford and they would not work.

Length for Ferguson spindle is 11 in. for 20-30-35's. Ford length is 10 3/4. Didn't find ID for thrust bearing. I would return if wrong. Hope this helps.

Parts book say TE20,TO0 and TO35 share the same #'s for wheel bearings as Ford 9N,
2N ,8N,NAA,600,700,800, and 900 thru serial # 137817.

Most vendors will take back parts if they do not fit correctly. I would call the vendor and let them know of the problem and ask for their recommended solution. IMO taking a new product to a machine shop to modify it is above and beyond what a customer should have to do when buying a part especially if the advertisement says that it will fit your model tractor.

Good luck

It is correct that the spindles from the TO-20, TO-30, TO-35 & MF35 are all the same. I have several of them on the shelf and have lined them all up for comparison. No difference in the spindle dimensions, the part number stamped on the spindles however can differ, older models use the "TO" parts number designation and newer part are stamped with the "M1" parts designation.
