I had posted before about this noise I am hearing.

ratcheting noise in trans or clutch area

clutch all the way up = noise

clutch half way down = noise

clutch all the way down = no noise

need help. thanks !!!

I had that a couple times on my Te 20 crossed my fingers and hope for the best, hasn't done it in over a year or so.

Typically noise with foot off clutch is transmission input shaft bearing. Noise with foot on clutch is clutch bearing. Reason for all is, foot on clutch makes clutch bearing work and releases the transmission from spinning. In Neutral, the only thing spinning under load is the input shaft.
If you got noise in neutral engine running, foot off clutch, time to look at input shaft bearing.
Yeah, you get to split it. Input shaft should be bolted to the front of the trans and slides out the front when you split it.
